“At the SRV museum yesterday I found this Brass Door ash tray in the archives, not sure of the vintage but the phone number “VE7 2501″ (which is still the correct number today!) dates it pretty far back. Smoking was very much the norm when I was growing up in the 50’s, 60’s and beyond and most restaurants/hotels/etc had their logos on their ash trays.” Mark Harrigan
